Dr Terri Blake
With a passion for posture, sports and healthy living, I aim to incorporate that into my practice whenever I can. Personally, I love long-distance running (road and trails!) and have completed a couple of marathons and an Ironman triathlon a few years ago. I have 2 wonderful children that fill the rest of my free time.
I am currently busy with an International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic (ICSC), accredited by FICS (International Federation of Sports Chiropractic).
FICS has promoted the participation of chiropractors in sports medicine teams, and has organized chiropractors to provide treatment at many national and international sporting events including the winter and summer Olympics. The ICSC is the requirement to work at these events.
This certification is motivated by my own sports interests, to assist fellow athletes, and create awareness that Chiropractic is more than treating just the spine, but Sports Chiropractic has much to offer patients with a variety of joint and muscle injuries.
I have over 15 years of experience in private practice, and am a Certified Posture Expert with the American Posture Institute. I use digital imaging posture software as part of my assessments.
There are a range of other treatment methods that I use to enhance the effectiveness of the Chiropractic adjustment. These include dry needling, kinesio taping, dynamic taping, instrument assisted soft tissue massage, together with nutrition and lifestyle advice. Feel free to drop me an email for any further information!
