Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuro-musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors practice a manual approach. Doctors of Chiropractic are specifically trained to detect and correct problems in the spine, often before the patient is even aware they exist.
Chiropractic and you
More often than not, when we tell someone that we are a chiropractic practice, they immediately associate our profession with the treatment of neck and/or back pain and that our only solution is to 'crack the spine'. What many do not realize, however, is that Chiropractic provides significantly more than just a solution for pain. At Back in Balance Chiropractic we use a number of different, evidence-based treatment modalities to achieve a holistic treatment outcome. We do our best to ensure that our patients feel better, are more informed and in the event that we cannot help, are given the appropriate guidance regarding their next port of call.
Admittedly, the majority of patients attending Back in Balance for the first time are often there because they are sore. It may be a sore back, neck, headache, elbow, jaw...you name the joint! Depending on the situation we may use spinal manipulation, dry needling, taping, home stretching and exercise programmes as well as ergonomic advice. With all this we aim to ensure that any future contact with our patients has them coming in feeling good and leaving even better.
Prevention is better than cure!
Patient preference is also a big factor in the choice of treatment modality. We put you first and hope that throughout your treatment experience you feel like you are being listened to, your opinions regarding your own health are seriously considered and that you feel like you are making informed decisions about the path of care.
